Copilot for Microsoft 365 Has Expanded Availability for Small Businesses of Any Size

    Microsoft has announced that Copilot for Microsoft 365 has expanded availability for organizations of all sizes — with no seat minimum for commercial plans.  

    Microsoft is removing the 300-seat purchase minimum for commercial plans and making Copilot available for Office 365 E3 and E5 customers.  

    Prior to this announcement, a Microsoft 365 license was required. Now, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is generally available for small businesses with Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Business Standard Customers can also purchase between one and 299 seats for $30 per person per month.

    New Copilot features and offerings 

    Microsoft also announced additional updates to Copilot to enable partners to help businesses with making the shift towards AI. Here is what’s new: 

    • Copilot GPTs: Copilot GPTs allow individuals to customize the behavior of Microsoft Copilot on a topic that is of interest, which allows for deeper personalization. Some focuses of this that are rolling out include fitness, travel, cooking and more.  
    • Copilot Mobile App: The Copilot mobile app is now available for Android and iOS, which means individuals can now access Copilot on the go. The Copilot mobile app includes the same capabilities of Copilot on your PC, enabling individuals to leverage Copilot using their preferred device.  
    • Copilot in the Microsoft 365 Mobile App: Over the next month, Copilot is also being added to the Microsoft 365 mobile app for Android and iOS for individuals with a Microsoft account.  

    In addition to these new features and removing the seat minimum, Microsoft also announce the availability of Copilot Pro, a new subscription that delivers advanced AI features and capabilities of Microsoft Copilot, including the ability to create Copilot GPTs. This functionality will offer additional help with writing, researching, or learning to improve workplace performance and efficiency.
